Oh Child of God take haven this morning in the trust that brings safety. Trust in Jesus !!! There’s no other refuge!!! No other that can save!

Hallelujah!!!! What comforting arms! What joyful sounds! The Lord is there right beside you.

To lead and guide you ….

🎼 Had it not been for a place that’s called Heaven.

And had it not been for the old rugged cross!

Had it not been for a man called JESUS . Then forever my soul would be______.

I left the last word out on purpose. I wanted to give you a chance to fill it in.

Hoping that you might think about your answer before you type

Where would you be? Had it not been for the cross the empty tomb. And the risen Christ?

Had Jesus took any other direction than the cross what would it mean for us?

I mean where would you and I be now? If there was no hope,

No forgiveness, no mercy and Grace? 

And to think His Love for you and me drew Him to The Cross of Calvary it’s why He came. Not a last minute good idea. But part of a wonderful plan created By The God of Heaven.
And to beat it all…..it brought salvation to you and me.
Had He missed that cross…..

Then forever our soul would be _______!

What a wonderful morning. 

A trip to see some good friends ” The PERRY’S” sing this morning at a local church of ours and we all had a glorious morning ! 

God can surely bless if you are obedient and let Him have His way.

And that took place this morning. 

Man the Devil couldn’t stand it and did The Lord ever pour it on in a thrilling heart touching morning.

For all you folks toiling at your church with that other music these days that leaves you wishing you had stayed at home, this good ol Gospel Music touched hearts and lives again as the Spirit flowed down from Heaven.

Heaven is sounding sweeter all the time! And the encouraging to hold on stay strong don’t fear press on man I tought I’d charge hell with a water pistol!!!

But my family and I walked out the door with added zeal!! Ready to fight the battle another day!!!

PTL we thank the Lord we could still feel the presence of the Lord in that place today!
As services broke I visited out back behind the church grave yard in which many of my departed loved ones and family lay awaiting Resurrection morning! 

Man I could remember standing there in deep sadness as grief filled my soul after saying good bye time and time again to those I loved so dear.

But this morning I could look back at those gravemarkers hallelujah and say folks I’ll see you soon!! PTL!!! In a glorified body one great gettin up morning!!! 
Thought as I left I could dance on top of those gravemarkers with the joy I felt in my soul!!!

Oh praise God for a wonderful song for a message of hope ( no wonder the Devil wants to shut it up) and for the blessed promises that I felt renewed today!

Thx to the Little Giants of Gospel Music!!! For encouraging me today!

If you’re going to build then do it right!

Don’t trust things to chance. If there’s a way to mess up just do things on Your own instead of following the Lord and you’ll have a sure fired recipe for disaster.

He has the experience you don’t have. He know the Devil and all his tricks your a “rookie”.

In the end you can have a house built in a rock or one built in the sand.

Which do you want to live in?

Today the beginning of that construction should begin at The Lords House! 

It’s Sunday and it’s the Lords Day!

It doesn’t happen very often. 

Usually at Christmas or on vacation after the Singing Echoes annual Blue Springs Valley sing.

But today the whole gang with the exception of our precious Gabe were all gathered together for a night of activity, eats and camping out in our back yard. 

It was a great day and the family had a good meal together then played some games as our Quen now a Cub Scout did some work toward earning some badges .

They taught Him how to set up a tent, spend the night in it, ate some burgers , & how to fire a BB gun…(relax folks , I played with one all my life as a kid and never went to jail for anything.Heehee)
We talked for the first time in it seemed like months. School work how the groups were doing and sharing Christmas wishes ( it’s just around the corner folks , 71 days!!!).
And some relaxing r&r after a very busy hard workin week for us older Eppersons. 
Family …. Y’all know how I feel about that you’ve read my analysis to its validity many times. 

I know of some families who can’t get together long enough to have a hotdog together. heehee.

My family is precious to me. 

They’re not perfect , because I raised em. But they are close. 

Close friend . Do you know how that feels?

Don’t get me wrong, we have disagreements. ( But they usually find out I’m right! Lol!).

And they stand side by side, 

Respectful of each other. 

If they were perfect, that would be Glenda s fault. Cause no one could blame that on me!! 

And we know who is head of the house….. GOD IS!

I love them everyone. Was glad to break bread together, pray together and enjoy the bounty blessed by GOD together.
Just want to take this time to say – Thank You Lord, I’m a blessed man!

It’s Saturday!!! Yay!! Are you planning a big day? 

Lots of fun I hope.
At the end of the week …. Ahhh- aren’t you glad God gave us Saturday?
Lots of options . But in the end it’s a great day. Hope you spend yours wisely. After all they only come once a week. Heehee!

The Bible says:

“I will hear what God the Lord will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly. Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land.”

Some think that doing things they know are not right is liberating. But it’s not.
The Bible says :

“Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.”

‭‭James‬ ‭4:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Sin is never liberating. In fact it is right the opposite. Sin enslaves the soul. Bound by sin you become a slave to the ol Devil. And if you think the devil is your friend, you’ve got another thought coming.
What is liberating is a close walk with The Master of your soul,Jesus Christ. Walking with Jesus is the greatest thrill I’ve ever known!!! 

Freedom comes from not being enslaved to sin. 

Oh to the joy of being set free! 

Wow!! It is liberating!!!

That’s The litmus test. 

I’ve set in the funeral home with dear friends . I knew their life and they would tell me ” I’m Saved”.

Saved…. ? Well, if you say so. I’m not a judge. But there’s this scripture verse you need to remember….

“Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬
There was a problem with the choice of Israel’s new King.

Saul was an obvious choice….’that is if you looked at it from the worlds point of view.

See, the world looks at the outside.

But God looks somewhere else.

He looks on the heart. The Heart.

And Children…God does not get confused. He sees what’s inside as Bill Shaw used to sing.

What does God see? He sees the broken. He sees the hurt, and the pain. But he also sees the evil. 

David wrote search me Lord. Try my reins and see if there be any wicked way in me….

Until you are willing to give up the sin, till you are willing to let God search your heart and You repent of whatever it is that He finds……

Then…..can you…. really say you love God?

Help them Lord I pray.

God says if your are his child, then you know something about eternity. While we travel on life’s journey, we have this assurance. If death should come our way, we have an eternal home in Heaven!

Yes sirree!

Jesus said in the scriptures:
“In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”

‭‭John‬ ‭14:2-3‬ ‭

Not only do we have a body like unto His, we also have an eternal home !!! Glory Hallelujah!! Where we’ll live and die no more!!! Where we ever shall be throughout all eternity!

Oh let the Praises of GOD begin now!!! We will praise His name through all eternity!
So to put it like ol Jake Hess used to sing….” Death Ain’t no big Deal!”.

Yes the story for the saints of God is only gettin better and better!!!

And the Best is yet to come!!!
So Keep pressing on faithful Children!!! The journeys almost over!!

And we’ll lay our burdens down!!! We will bare the ol rugged cross for the last mile!!! 

And our Journey will be worth it all someday!

There was an old song we all used to hear Rickey Skaggs sing not so long ago

” Are you afraid To Die?”.

It opened up with a clip from The Rev Billy Graham that asked are you prepared to die? 

He asked ” Do you fear death?”
There’s no doubt many who do .

Many today’s modernistic world claim they don’t believe in GOD or in Heaven or Hell. They don’t believe in the life hereafter.

And truth be known they will shake in their boots at the thought of dying.

It’s the unknown they call it.

Well, if they believed their own doctrine they would have no fear of death at all because that as they claim would be the end of it. No judgement, no Accounting To GOD for their deeds they have done while here in this earth.

And yet there’s still this fear of death that haunts their never dying soul. 

They won’t darken the door of a church but they are scared to death of a funeral home or cemetery.

Seems like they are unsure of their idea about death and accountability to GOD! 
Well if I were them I’d be shaking in my boots too.
The Very Heavens proclaim his deity! The heavens declare his handiwork. 

The Bible claims the Fool hath said in his heart there is no GOD!
Don’t let them fool you. Your heart knows the truth. You know there’s something about that wonderful name of Jesus!

And indeed we all will stand before his presence one glorious morning.

We shall give account to God He assures us. 

There’s no mistaking and no escaping!
So, as Rev Graham asks…..

ARE YOU AFRAID TO DIE?

If you are there’s hope for you. 

You are closer to becoming a Believer than you might think.
A step of Faith can seal the deal with GODs amazing Grace!

Come while He waits for You.

Mac Davis once sung a comical song entitled ” Oh Lord, It’s Hard To Be Humble”.

Many got a laugh out of the lyrics that went on to add “when you’re perfect in every way. ” Now you gotta admit that’s pretty funny.

It’s a hard look at the worlds opinion of itself.

The World sees nothing wrong with itself.

However The Creator of Heaven and Earth has a different viewpoint. 

That vision the world had is one steeped in pride. And GOD above all other things hates pride. The prideful attitude gets us in more hot water than we can handle.

Pride goes before a fall the Proverbs will tell us.
But it’s a humble heart that God cherishes.it is that humble heart the Lord said He would lift up Higher, higher than it has ever been. 
This morning lets turn it around…let’s get rid of all the pride that angers The Master and causes us to fall; and humbly come before him, humbly, aware of His Grace, and our sinfulness, and be forgiven of our sin, and be lifted up.
Nothing like Jesus to satisfy your soul.
