It’s December 31st. The last day of the year!
And what a year it has been.
There have been many ups & downs to experience this year, but, PTL the Good Lord has brought us through it all! I tell you there were some dark times but there have truly been some exciting moments in 2014!
I guess the best moment for the Eppersons this year has been the arrival of our new grandchildren into the world! My nephew Josh s daughter Beckett and my son Matthews daughter Mattie have been the highlight of the Singing Echoes Family this year.
But a close second has been the previous souls we’ve seen that have come to know CHRIST as their personal savior this year.
They say throne. Thing closest to being saved is to see another too come to know Jesus. Well, every soul this year that walked down the aisle and knelt down at an old fashioned altar truly have me joy unspeakable, and I still rejoice and PTL!!!
Then I thank the Lord for answered prayers. Why, just this passed SUNDAY, as e gathered together around an altar @ Gamble Rd Baptist Church for prayer as request were taken I asked our prayer warriors to pray for my sons Fatherinlaw battling cancer in a hospital in Greensboro, NC, and for a Young lady in the hospital in Chattanooga with a Brain tumor, and a young lady in the Hospital in Mississippi battling for life in a hospital from a horseback riding accident.
All 3 were fighting for their life and the hope of their leaving the hospital grim. But do you know what?
Since that SUNDAY morning prayer time in that little altar out in the sticks of East Tennessee, a place most people on this earth don’t know exists, (but PTL GOD DOES!! ) today each of this precious people are recovering or in stable condition!!! God still answered prayer children!! God Still hears us when we call out of a repentant heart.
Why not call him today with your broken heart. That’s his specialty.

Have you seen it? Our family sat for a new family pic last Saturday. Then they put them on facebook.
They I’m told are now receiving great reviews which I thank you all for those kind thoughts and sentiments.
All of my immediate family was there. It was a wonderful heart filling time with my treasures all gathered around me.
Of course there was one there you couldn’t see in the pics… He was hidden from sight of the lens but just the same He was there.

It was my Lord and Savior.

He was there… And even though you couldn’t see Him with your eyes, I will say with assurance that He truly was there. You see He was in our hearts. Oh yes in our hearts.
The Bible says:
Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. (‭Psalms‬ ‭119‬:‭11‬ KJV)

Oh, may I introduce you to my Heavenly Father???
Is there Room In your heart for Him? Come join the family… What a meeting !!!

The Bible has given us a challenge:

I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; (‭Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭1-2‬ KJV)

Confession….I am not good at this .
And, I have failed the meek & lowly thing more times than I can count…
The greatest battle I have in life is with that self guy I shave every day. I’m not proud of this , it breaks my heart. I feel so bad when I have hurt others.
So… I keep working at it. Because I love them all.( It’s something I picked up from my Heavenly Father.).
After 45 yrs in ministering to the human race, I hope I’ve improved some, but admittedly, not enough.
Father, please forgive me when they don’t see YOU in me. I hope you’ll forgive me too.

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. (‭Hebrews‬ ‭11‬:‭1, 6‬ KJV)

Gods children have a distinct advantage . When life gets CRAZY!!! Gods children don’t have to.

Faith sounds silly to the unbeliever but that won’t stop a Born Again Believer.

Faith has opened so many doors … Put your trust in the Lord. Rewards are a promise…. A promise from the Creator of Heaven & Earth…..
The Substance of things hoped for.

There’s just a few more days of 2014 left.
If you’ve got plans you intended to accomplish you’re running out of time.

You know we’ve all sinned, & we have made grave mistakes.
Many have INTENDED to make things right with the Lord but keep putting it off.

The Bible says:

Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. (‭Psalms‬ ‭51‬:‭2‬ KJV)

David sets a great example.
Even though his sins were severe and embarrassing, his secret to peace and fellowship with The Lord was that he didn’t postpone or delay. He didn’t make excuses or cast the blame at someone else.
The secret to inner peace and Victory in CHRIST Jesus is to walk in fellowship with Him.
When sin has been committed ( for we ALL HAVE SINNED AND COME SHORT OF HIS GLORY) like David , don’t beat around the bush. Run to God with it and confess it to Him ASAP!!!
As He did with David,

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (‭1 John‬ ‭1‬:‭9‬ KJV)
Then He can restore us to a right fellowship with Him.

Come with me , we both need a little tidying up …

Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; (‭Ephesians‬ ‭3‬:‭7-8‬ KJV)

To each & every soul that’s been called by the God of Heaven. Indeed to be truly called to such an honored roll in service to the King of Glory is a privilege .

If you’re like me you often feel so inadequate to have such a calling you shake your head and wonder what in the world He gave us that caking for?
But be assured , God often doesn’t call the qualified, the talented, the best equipped…
He usually calls the Faithful,
The willing, and He qualifies them. After all God doesn’t need our advice… He needs our faithfulness.
If you are tired,weary, struggling with the riggers of serving, remember, there’s assuring promise from The Lord:

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. (‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭58‬ KJV)

Thank God for another Lords day! Time for The Thankful To Enter into His Courts with Praise & Thanksgiving.( Ps 100.)

My what The Lord has done in each of our lives. Worship with one another, The scriptures advise to forsake not. Cultivate those relationships with the Body of Christ , namely The Brothers & Sisters in Christ Jesus.
My heart tells me the more we’re together, the closer we become. Think God would sanction that.
It’s the awkwardness of being unfamiliar which leads to misunderstanding and distrust.
It’s a Holy Union and our own wellbeing depends on that fellowship.
We need those believers, and they need us, for none of us can walk this road alone.
Someone to walk with, makes the load lighter. Can’t be lonely when you’ve got a friend with you.
Sickness & pain, troubles & trials, all the tests of life are easier when you’ve got prayer partners, the more the better.
So, the ol Devil has already given me his excuses for skipping out on The Lord this morning….
But I told him to go back where he came from!!!

It’s Saturday!!

Got a great day in store.
A rare event. All the grandkids are here and we are going to celebrate!!!
Gabe, Anais, Bryson, Quen,Aubrie, and our new one Mattie are all present & accounted for and there’s still lots of Christmas cheer left here at the Epperson house. The boys & their wives all together and there’s my precious little Glenda, ahhhhhh thank You Lord, your Love radiates all around our happy home.
Everyone safe, all happy, healthy, glad to see each other. One blessed family, that loves The Lord.
A little foretaste of Heaven .

Reunion like.
It reminds me of The great reunion that awaits us on that Eternal Shore called Heaven. Don’t want to miss that one. Mom, Dad, My Grands Clint, Charlotte, Maynard, Rachel, My uncles, Carl, Earl, Bob, Ray,Aunts Dixie, Gloria, Earlene , And friends, ohh the precious friends, Ohhh I could go on & on,but my eyes can’t see this keyboard they’re so misty. Joy beams from my heart this day. You see I’m still counting my blessings and I’m nowhere near done.
My brother Gary & his Family Debbie, Josh & Brooke, Jonah and Miss Beckett….
Wow I’m runnin out a room I this page! lol!

Oh holy night the star of hope is shining it is the night of our dear saviors birth….
They argue over the it’s yesterday, or whenever. Some have pretty good points.
But the point is not the day in which it was but the fact that we set aside a day to remember that such a child was born that came to save the world.
Now which do you think is most important…getting the date of a birth right in which He was born, or getting the Glorious News that the Savior of the World is born and that He is here???
Hint Hint!!! We win n both !!!
I’m not concerned that the date might be wrong, t if I’d never gotten the News that He did come and die for my so and rise from the grave, my soul would have been forever lost!!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas. My what a happy time it was. Food, family, gifts,Christmas caroling, well wishing, the shopping ( YIkES!).
It was a blast.
And today, there’s this mad rush back to the stores everywhere to return or exchange all those items we worked so frantically to find what we thought would be the “perfect gift”.
Only in America!
All is not lost, for most of us have plenty. More than we deserve.
But the excitement the advertising the bargain sales get the best of us.

Being grateful is the order of the day. I’m grateful.
Grateful for the one gift that never needs a return. The GIFT Of GOD!

THE Bible says:
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (‭Romans‬ ‭6‬:‭23‬ KJV)

Thank God for His immeasurable Gift.
