My, the rain came today.
Cut my mowin time in half( thank you lord?)
It was a good day but I’m tired this evening.Glad to relax and get some rest.
Picked up some of our grandees this evening. Qwen and our youngest …Mattie Anne .
Barely 1 yr old . She’s just gettin used to Pawpaw.
(Still gets spooked at my sunglasses ). Got a beautiful smile and blue eyes to match. I love her giggle .
She’s just learning to say Pawpaw. Heeheee
Mawmaw and Pawpaw are so proud of her. And while she denies it, I’ve assured Glenda she said “Pawpaw” first! Lol!!
Qwen couldn’t wait to see his dad and wanted to know if he could go to Pawpaws house for the night. ( Pawpaw put him up to it, heehee.)And go ride the bus and sing this weekend.
He and Pawpaw are real buddies. It’s been a while since he spent the night with us now that he’s all grown up and all in kindergarten.
I’m still shocked by that! Aren’t you?
Seems like only yesterday they brought that rascal home from the Hospital.
He has helped Pawpaw sing, play all sorts of
games and learn to grow up together.
( Qwen’s doin better at it than Pawpaw).
It reminds me of a familiar scripture :
“…. we spend our years as a tale that is told.
Yes it seems that time is getting faster than ever.
And my kids have all grown and now my grandees are growing faster than you can shake a stick at!
It’s going so quickly.
Are you saved? Are you, really? Could you share you’re salvation experience with someone if you were asked to?What would you say to them?
How does things look for you in the future?
Do you have a good eternity to look forward to or are you hoping you won’t die and find out those Christians were right after all?
So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.”
Psalms 90:9, 12 KJV
You know that Psalmist makes a whole lot of sense.
It sounds like he’s on to something.
Don’t know about you but I could use a whole lot more of that thing he called wisdom. Not the “head” wisdom that a lot of folk have these days. You know, the kind that changes whenever the wind does?
But the wisdom this Psalmist is referring to is wisdom of the Heart .
The Heart’s not as likely to be mislead , though it sometimes can be.
But , there’s an old saying I used to hear a lot of…
It goes” You can fool all the people some of the time. And Even some of the people all of the time.
BUT YOU CANT FOOL ALL THE PEOPLE ALL OF THE TIME”.
Sooner or later you’re going to get caught.
And that’s the truth!
With wisdom the Heart can discern better.
Things are so confusing these days. I recall the bible referring to times when the God would send ” Strong Delusions ” ….
Yes, I’ m reading your mind… Sounds like it to me too!!
Let’s make sure we acquire all that wisdom of the heart we can get before things get any worse.
Pretty soon somebody’s going to want to know how we got saved….and you know …it just could be that grandson.
