Labour of love

Good morning.
Its a beautiful morning, isn’t it?
The Bible says:
“Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;”

‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭1:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬
That point this morning I’m aiming at is the “Labour of Love”.
Bibleornot.org defines it as:

Labor of Love Meaning – The quote ‘labor of love’ is used to describe a person’s reason for doing work that may not have a self-serving or monetary benefit. The work and energy, i.e. labor, is expended for the benefit of others or because it provides a sense of purpose, goodness, satisfaction or well being.
Now whom do you expect a service like that to come from? I can think of a few but more than likely I d expect it to come from the heart of a saint of God.

They’re usually doing a lot of the giving today and so little is gotten in return…

I’ve seen ministers my

My and singers and laypeople in the church work tirelessly on projects that led to great results but very little monetary benefit ever came their way for it.

But that’s the MO as we call it in these modern times of the Christian.

You’ve heard me mention the name of R G Lee and his famous sermon “Payday Someday!”.

Oh yes as the song goes I’ll get my reward in the morning. When I get to the other side.

Well the world thinks that’s silly. They wouldn’t think of wasting their time and not get paid for it, often in advance .

But one must have love in their heart in order to do a Labour of love.
And yet it doesn’t go unnoticed. Nor is it forgotten :

“For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭6:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬
God smiles when he sees us imitate his Son.

Tell me today, what is your Labour of Love?
Have a Heavenly Day.
