Fishin done right

Good morning.
The Bible says:
“But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus. Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No. And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.”

‭‭John‬ ‭21:4-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Well, since you’re goin fishin, you might as well do it right.
The disciples knew something about fishing. For most of them it was a vocation. But even their knowledgable skills could not fill their nets all the time.

Have you ever had that happen? I mean… You’ve got your gear, you’ve got your fav waterhole. The prep works all done the signs are just right everything should work!! But as in my case all too often you ask ” Where’s all the Fish today) ?

They should be jumping in the boat but are nowhere to be found.

And yet, that’s what the disciples ran into this day.

But perhaps it’s not those little creatures they were after….

Remember those words …

“Follow me, I’ll make you fishers of men”.

After they had dealt with the crucifixtion they were unsure about their future.

All they had learned was swimming around in their heads they pondered what those mission trips now would look like in absence of His presence to encourage & guide them .

And they were a bit apprehensive about their new role now. No longer where they to be followers but they were to be leaders…

Leading others to this Savior and Lord they come to adore.

That step of Faith is so small but so hard at first…

Oh but the reward when the step is taken.

Oh the power it brings, the courage, fear has been defeated!

Oh how it feels to know you walk In the Spirit and he guides you … You’re still following… Yes following the leadership of the Holy Spirit of GOD, but still leading….. Oh leading that soul that is lost to the Christ who alone can save!!!

Yes, that fishin trip was quite an experience.
It’s one we all should take.
Have a Heavenly Day.
